Birds Nests, Pregnant Aunts, and Sleeping Death

We made bird nest cookies for FHE treats. Now we begin the countdown for Easter :)
I came in and she had all of her movies out like this...I don't know, another one of her OCD moments :)

This one cracked me up so much. She was standing up in the living room eating an apple, and then she said, "I feel cold..." and she laid out on the floor and let the apple roll a couple of inches away. It was so funny. (Just like when Snow White eats the poison apple, if you haven't seen that movie in a while :) )
And here's one of Daddy waking Emmaline up for Church :)
Here's one of Aunty Lea 8mo pregnant. (34 weeks to be exact.) I wish I looked like that 8mo pregnant. Little stinker :)

Easter Dress

I'm on a search to find a cute Easter dress for Emmaline. Does anyone know of a good place to look? Let me know if you guys have found anything...I'm trying to find her a blue one, because it's her favorite color, but I'm not finding much, so maybe I won't be so picky :)

Easter Wreaths and Tea Cups

My mom got Emmaline a little tea cup set, where you paint it, and then bake it in the oven, so here's Emmaline drinking hot cocoa in her self-painted tea set. (She loves it by the way)
I was sick for a few days earlier this week, and so Emmaline has been cooped up in the house, and she had to miss primary, (which she loves) and so after play group on Thursday we were going to go ride the Zilker train for a special treat, but by the time we got done at the playground it was raining really hard, so instead she settled for painting Easter Eggs with me, so we decided to make a little wreath too. So thanks for the idea, Dani!

Haha

So here is a picture of my sweet sweet babies who went to Wal-Mart with their Mommy at midnight on Friday so she could wait in a line full of crazy girls to buy Twilight.

Here's the line that backed up all the way to the produce section; so many crazy girls all in one place. (I can call them crazy, because I'm standing in the same line :) )

Here's my sign that I made. I'm in the Young Women's again, and as leaders we work on Personal Progress too, so I decided to make a sign for our bedroom. At first I was worried about the project not taking ten hours to make, and then I started making it, and I had plenty of extra hours. I found the font on-line, and printed it off, and cut it out with a razor blade, then traced it onto the board (I had already painted it) then painted the letters. It was kind of crazy, but I'm happy that it turned out so well. One of the main reasons I decided to make it was because I couldn't find a board that had the right sentiment; Annie's song is our wedding song, and the forever is pretty self explanitory :) So this was to be this grand symbol of our love, which wasn't the best idea, because it's a little too crazy to get so emotionally attached to a project :) I had to keep re-painting, and re-tracing until it was perfect; I even gave myself a blister trying to cut out the letters as perfectly as I could :)
Also as a side note, Carol made some really cute boards for the kids' rooms for Christmas, and she ordered the letters online, so if you want to make one, that's the rout I would take :) If I didn't need the hours for my project, I would have ordered them. Well, honestly, if I made another one, I might still order the letters, and pick something else for a project :) So here's the link to the web-site, if any of you want it. http://www.stickaroundlettering.com

Spring Break

Royce had to work the first couple of days of spring break, and has homework/group work the last couple of days, so today we decided to go to the Texas State History Museum, and we also went to an IMAX theater and watched "Under the Sea in 3D." It was really fun, and we were really excited for Emmaline to see the movie, but the first 3 or 4 min were big fish hiding at the bottom of the ocean, and suddenly jumping out and eating smaller fish, and poor little Emmaline freaked out. She was sitting on Royce's lap, and had one of his hands, and was clutching my arm with her other hand, and her legs were curled up to her chest, and she took the glasses off, and wouldn't put them on for the rest of the movie. The museum was fun, though, and then we went out for pizza. So a good day, just a little jumpier than we expected. :)

Go Uncle Will!!!

The OIT men's basketball team just won their first game in the tournament! We got to watch it on-line, and Uncle Will got to play! I'm such a dork; there was about a minute and a half left of the game, and OIT was up by like 20 points, so both teams put their bench guys in so they'd get a chance to play in in the tournament, so Uncle Will gets in the game and we get all excited, and I'm pointing him out to Emmaline, and Royce runs in from doing his homework. It was cute. So like the second the game ends my Dad calls, and I guess their internet stopped working, so they missed him coming in. Luckily they had the radio going at the same time, so at least they got to hear it. (Marissa was there at my parents house, too.) So I'm glad I got to watch the game. They're playing in Missouri, which is half-way between Lea and I, so our plan was to meet in the middle and go to his games, but Royce had to work, and I didn't want to drive 10hrs with just Emmaline and I, so Lea was going to go alone, but she's like 7mo pregnant, and her doctor really wanted her to stay home, instead of driving 12hrs by herself. Anyway, this is kind of rambling...sorry. I'm still all jazzed up from the game. It's been a long time since I've played basketball, but even watching it still makes me nervous. :)

Dancing and Glasses

Daddy got new glasses! Well, I suppose new implies that he used old ones. He hasn't worn glasses since freshman year of college, but I was able to talk him into getting his eyes checked, and while we were waiting for his glasses to come in, he's been telling me all of the things he couldn't see before. Yikes! Maybe I should have driven more often :) Anyway, I really like his glasses; I think they look great on him. Although the idea of him being even better looking as he goes out amongst the college girl population makes me want to say grrrr.

Emmaline started a little dance class at the YMCA. I couldn't help myself, and had to get her a little dance costume. (Well, mostly new. Her tights were an old pair that I cut the feet off and sewed the little flowers on the bottom, and my mom had bought her the little skirt last year just to play with. So I didn't splurge too much. Just the leotard and the shoes.)

I may be in over my head...

So Emmaline looks pretty sweet and harmless, right? Well, I'm not so sure any more. I think she's much too smart for her own good, and has a little bit of her Mommy's "little evil man that she keeps tied up pretty well in her brain most of the time." So here's a couple of stories for you, that I thought were pretty funny.

Story number one. Emmaline hates it when I sing. Hates it. She tells me to be quiet because I'm making her sad. She also knows that Pocahontas is my favorite Disney movie. So a couple of weeks ago, she wanted me to sing her a Pocahontas song. I was shocked! (A couple of side notes; for Christmas she got a bunch of plastic food, and she also got the movie Fivel Goes West. Well on Fivel Goes West, his sister Tanya is singing a song, and the other mice start throwing tomatoes at her. Do you see where I'm going with this?) Of course I didn't make the connection that soon, and I start singing Pocahontas songs for her, a little excited that she finally wanted Mommy to sing to her, and lo and behold, she started throwing fruits and vegetables at me. (And really just fruits and vegetables...the plastic food comes with boxes of cookies, and milk, and stuff like that, but she just picked out the fruit and vegetables.)

Story number two. We found my old copy of Snow White the other day, and Emmaline has loved it, and watches it all of the time now. We've also been buying a lot of little green apples, because they're on sale, and Emmaline eats them like crazy. She'll eat two or three a day. So the other day, I'm sitting on my bed, and she comes in with an apple, hands it to me, and says, "Here, have a bite." Just like the witch does on Snow White, and then she laughs out a cackle, and walks out of the room. Yikes. Don't believe the suicide note.

(The pictures are actually from October, and really have nothing to do with either story, I just don't really like putting up a post without pictures :))

Oh my goodness! She just did it to me again! Every night we get her pj's on, and brush teeth, and read scriptures in Mommy and Daddy's bed, and I'm always the last one in, and so she hides under the blankets with Royce, and I have to come in and find her. Every night. OCD. So just after I finished posting the above, she comes up to me, and wants to go hide, and she wants me to come and find her. So I let her hide, and I go in my room, (leaving the light off) and the blankets were off the bed, so I thought she was behind it on the other side, so I look back there, and she's not there, so I thought I heard her wrong, and she was really in her room hiding, so I'm just about to my bedroom door to go look for her in her room, and she jumps out from behind the door, and yells, "Boo!" She almost gave me a heart attack! I had no idea she was there, and I just about had to change my pants. I even screamed a little. I'm in big trouble here folks.
