Camping

We went camping last weekend with Rocky (Royce's brother) and Carol for Rocky's birthday. It was a lot of fun, and so good to get outdoors again. The girls had a really good time together, and Royce went the whole time without a computer! It was a big step for him, and he said it was so nice to be able to step back and relax a little bit. :)

This is Chloe our little niece. By the end of our hike both girls got really tired, and Rocky was carrying Lyla, Carol had the big backpack with all of the bottles/water, so Royce took Chloe on his shoulders, and I carried Emmaline on mine, and by the end both girls fell asleep.

Bath time!

I love Edna!

I love Edna! There is an amazing cake decorator/sugar artist, and she makes beautiful cakes, but she also teaches a lot, and she has put a ton of videos on You Tube teaching how to make flowers, and all sorts of things. They're really easy to follow, and they're made so that even a beginner can make stuff. Here is a rose that I made after watching her videos! Her name is Edna and her web-site is www.designmeacake.com. She's great. (It was also better before I accidentally smooshed the center. :) )

Really good Bacon and Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

I found this recipe in my magazine that my mom got me for Christmas, and luckily it's up on their web-site right now. We made it for dinner tonight, and it was really, really good. It's pretty easy, and really tasty. (When you add your bacon, we just used the real bacon crumbles from Costco-lots easier and really good still.) It's also a good warm comfort food meal, for when the weather get a little colder. (As I hear it still does outside of Texas. This is when I miss Oregon...when it's supposed to be fall. :) )

Emmaline

We "checked out" these blocks from a place called family connections, and I was in the kitchen making us lunch after we got home, and when I came out I found this. I thought she did a pretty good job.

This is at Nana and Papa's house; we went there for the 3 day weekend, and had lots of fun.

These are some shapes I cut out for our little preschool thing we're doing, and I didn't expect Emmaline to like them so much. She's been playing with them a lot.
