So here's another week down, with just one more to go before we go up to Spokane. The meeting with the surgeon went really well, and was really encouraging. (Even though he did drop part of the model heart while he was explaining exactly what they were going to do during the surgery. Royce and I were able to get a good chuckle out of that...after a few days had past.) It's going to be pretty crazy, and she's going to need a blood transfusion during the surgery and all sorts of other things, but the statistics and odds are pretty promising. Grandma's been out here the past couple of weeks to help take care of things, and to keep my mental sanity in check. We've been trying to keep everyone quarantined as much as possible so Josephine stays healthy, and next Monday morning Royce and Jo and I will go up and have a day of pre-operative tests and procedures, then we check in bright and early Tuesday morning. I'm still dreading it like crazy, but am really encouraged and optimistic after the visit with the surgeon. I think we're also going to have a big family fast for her this Sunday, so if anyone would like to join us, we'd appreciate it, and are so grateful for all the thoughts and prayers so far!

Sweet little Josephine!
