Finger Paint

I found a cool recipe for home-made finger paint. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks pretty cool. It's on the "A Place of our Own" web-site.

Supply List
1/4 cup cornstarch

2 cups water

½ teaspoon of food coloring
How-To
The first step in finger painting is creating the finger paint. You can make your own by mixing ¼ cup of cornstarch with 2 cups of water and ½ teaspoon of food coloring all in a saucepan. Boil the ingredients until the mixture thickens. Allow the paint to cool before storing the paint in an airtight container. Kids can help mixing the ingredients together, but the boiling of the paint should be done by the provider. Kids shouldn’t eat the finger paint, but because we’re making it using cornstarch and food coloring, our finger paint is safe, in case any kids do ingest it.
